I’m Francesca Ricciardelli. I live in Los Angeles and I'm very passionate about languages, pronunciation, and comprehension.

I have always been very drawn to languages. When I was 14, I decided to study Latin and Ancient Greek (as many do in Italy), and my brain could not get enough of all those connections between languages, and the stories you can read in the original texts were the best.

From there, I pursued my willingness to learn more languages with a BA in French and English Literature and Linguistics, but it was not enough for my thirst for knowledge. I have also studied Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, and German. In the meantime, my two master's degrees taught me how languages and literature are strictly connected. With an MA in Language Science and one in Italian Studies, I decided to do a PhD in Language Science and Translation observing oral and written Intercomprehension of Dante Alighieri!

While practicing my daily yoga, I got interested in Sanskrit and tried it on my own. I will get back to that one day. For fun, I have also moved to languages that aren’t spoken, like Python 🐍.
